Wedding Invitations for the Big Day
There are a lot of things that need to be done before the wedding. The couple should schedule when and where the venue will be, choose the motif, budget how much this will cost then make a list of those who will be coming to the affair.
The couple and the family will surely like to invite many people. In order for this affair to be intimate, the list will have to be trimmed down and there will be those who will be excluded.
Once the final list has been made, it is now time to pick the wedding invitation and print the number of copies to be distributed to the attendees.
There are many ways to go about acquiring this for the special date. The person can buy some magazines and look at how other people have made it. The other will be looking for a supplier that can give good value for money.
Most people hire someone to do it. These professionals can be found in the directory, bridal fairs, magazines and friends who are satisfied with the service that was provided.
The person must also take into consideration the time needed for the order to be completed. This will give the person ample time to distribute and for people to confirm for the said event.
Invitations come in various sizes and shapes. The paper is also made from different materials and there are many colors to choose from. The person should go around and compare the samples and prices before selecting the supplier who will do the job.
Some invitations simply state the name of the couple, when and where the event will take place. Other people also mention that names of the entourage on the card. There is no standard way of writing an invitation so the couple should just choose which is best.
The envelope should also be given some consideration. Most people want it in plain colors. The Chinese usually do this in red with an inscription symbolizing the special occasion that will take place.
When the invitations have been made, it is now time to address this to the guests. The person can write the names at the back of the card or get someone to do it.
There are people who think that the penmanship one has is good while others think differently. The individual can practice writing on a piece of scratch and ask friends for comments. If the feedback isn’t that good, it is better to play safe and get a professional to write the invitations well.
Some calligraphers do this with a pen while there are others who offer this service using a laser printer. The person should canvass around then pick the best that can do this efficiently and offer a good rate.
The wedding invitations should be distributed personally. Should the guests come from out of state, the person can save on costs by simply scanning this then emailing the invitees the copy.
The supplier should first make a sample before the couple will approve the printing of the invitations. This should be distributed two or three months before the wedding to give the invitees time to confirm, buy a gift, book a flight and a hotel to be able to attend the event. << Previous Article || Next Article >>
