Wedding Gown for the Big Day

The wedding is a special moment in the lives of two people. This is a time that two friends become lifelong partners till the end of time.

There are those who believe that this is more of the day of the bride than the groom. This is the moment where the woman can wear a beautiful wedding gown for everyone to see.

In the United States, some retailers throw an annual bridal sale. Women may buy wedding gowns that were once priced at $500 or more can now be purchased at less than $100.

Those that want to have it custom made can go to a tailor who can make a gown based on the specifications of the bride. Those who don’t know how to draw can buy a wedding magazine. There are also some designs on the internet and the person can choose a few then mix and match for the perfect outfit.

The tailor can start making the gown after getting the design and measuring the size for the bride. There are many fabrics available and the person can also look around for the right color and texture or just let the professional take care of the rest.

A few good fabrics to choose from are satin, silk, chiffon, velvet, brocade and faille. The prices of each vary and the person should look at the budget before selecting which one to use.

The body of the woman is different. There are those who are tall and thin and others who are short and chubby. The type of fabric can do wonders since this can make some changes in the person’s physique for that special day.

Women who are short and chubby can use Chiffon since this will make the person look taller and thinner using Chiffon. Those who are short but are thin can use velvet lace and schiffli net to give the illusion of putting on some weight.

Women who are tall but chubby can use satin to also look slim. Those who are tall and thin can use fabric made of Satin and lace to give that stunning look to the groom and guests.

The style of the wedding gown also depends when the wedding will take place. This can be formal, informal or semiformal.

A formal wedding gown has the bottom portion extending until the floor. There is usually a train that follows that is guided by the maid of honor. The bride also wears a veil and has a bouquet of flowers in hand.

A semi-formal gown also has the bottom extending on the floor. The train is much shorter with a smaller bouquet that is carried by the bride.

The informal wedding down has the bottom until street length. The bride does not have to wear a veil or train. There will still a few flowers either in a small bouquet or tied on the hand as a corsage.

There are also some brides who have no intention of keeping the gown locked up after the event. The woman can instead lease or borrow from a store which will save from going out and designing or buying one. The problem is that this may not fit the bride.

The parents of the bride can also restore and refit the wedding gown used before for the daughter’s special day.

Regardless how the gown was acquired, the bride must look beautiful during the wedding day.
